Caroline Poon
Caroline is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT and a Masters degree in Taxation from Melbourne University. She is also an authorized representative of Hillross Financial Services AFSL 232705. Caroline has had an unusual career path, having left school at 15 to pursue a career as a dancer before embarking on her accounting degree as a mature age student.
She has been a senior taxation consultant with Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. In 1994 she established the predecessor to Medical & Dental Accounting Pty Ltd. Caroline has three brothers and two sisters, who are all medical practitioners. She saw the potential to establish a boutique practice in a niche market providing independent financial and tax advice to medical, dental and other health professionals.
Caroline has an enormous amount of practical experience dealing with doctors and dentists. She enjoys a loyal following of clients who appreciate her personalized and timely service, independent advice, availability and detailed knowledge of their business affairs.
She is a regular presenter at various Divisions of General Practice and contributes regularly to Australian Doctor, various Division newsletters and Australian Optometry.
